iNK stories' latest game about the 1979 hostage crisis in Tehran's US Embassy at the height of the Iranian Revolution. Navid Khonsari, the former cinematic director of several Rockstar titles, is heading the project.

Developer of "1979" Navid Khonsari has said in several interviews that throughout the game, the player will switch between many different roles. Such examples mentioned include an American-born Iranian translator on a mission to rescue the embassy hostages, a theocratic militant citizen, and a student demonstrator opposing Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was overthrown during the revolution.
