    History

    1C Company formed in 1991 in Moscow, Russia, and since have become one of the largest independent software developers and publishers in the Country. They started out developing software that would be allow up and coming businesses do their own accounting.

    In Russia itself, 1C develops and publishes business focused software - including Kaspersky Lab - as well as localising western games for a Russian market. And as a world-wide company it publishes it's own developed games, and various games from, but not exclusively, Eastern European developers.

    Over the years they have purchased and merged with other companies; Russian developer Buka in 2008 for roughly $90million, Soft Club in 2009, and Snowball Studios in 2010.
