I seriously want to stop hearing and caring about DNF and 3D Realms cause I know Im just im setting myself up for more hurt :P  After all the stuff that had started to surface back earlier last year I just want to put myu head in the sand until either A: DNF suddenly appears on the shelfs B: 3D Realms closes down for good (after releasing the trilogy) and stops breaking all the hearts of the people that love them :/

DNF is ready to be released, I know it. This whole "closing down" nonsense is just to build hype.

I'm still going to end up buying this game when it comes out, even if I'm too blind, deaf and dumb to play it. It's just the fact I'll feel partially.. complete in side. *Insert Anime Cutesy face here*

 I'm afraid you guys are misunderstanding this a little bit. Is not that DNF will be back in production someday, is just that 3D realms still has a "saying" when it comes to other people developing for this franchise. 

I don't care how bad DNF ended up being. I'd still buy it just to support 3DR.

Oh dear GOD! I've had enough of all this! I've been through high school, college and two years of university in the time it's taken for this crapfest of a company to "develop" this game. I couldn't care less about 3D Realms and I couldn't care less about Duke Nukem Forever, or the franchise for that matter. The whole things a ridiculous joke.

If Take Two can sue them, I'm fully behind 'em. Get this waste of space company off the map once and for all.

As long as 3D Realms doors are open, Duke Nukem Forever will live on!  In the year 2026 when it finally sees the light of day, it will be glorious!  Glorious I tell you!

Does anyone else find it ironic that the acronym for Duke Nukem Forever, DNF, is the same for the phrase Did Not Finish?

I'm glad the company is still around because I hate to see the people loose jobs. That being said, I'm also glad Duke Nukem is gone. This is the best scenario in my book.

For a game that seems so close to release, the had better not just shut it down. If they do, I expect a beta version to be leaked and finished by fans, or I will be very upset.

Sounds just like another statement similar to those of the last however many years, stringing along consumers.  3D Realms should learn to let go of that franchise and move onto something new, not keep making (or pretending to make, whichever may be the case) related games which may or may not ever come out.

I know i'm late to the party, but personally I hope that Take-two sues the shit out of 3d realms and manages to get hold of this property so this game (and the inevitable sequels that should have happened years ago) can finally get made (sometime before I die of old age).
