The 3D Realms page has finally been updated to reflect the company's closure.
No explanations. No Apologies. Just a goodbye and a thank you to all the fans.
I can't decide if this is appropriate or TOTALLY FRUSTRATING since I would love to see some actual transparency in the whole Duke Nukem development cycle.
Anyway, this is the first real official word from the company itself. Best Wishes to everyone that worked there. Hope they find employment soon.

    Duke Nukem For-never.

I hate hearing all of this.  There is a thread going on over at 2K Games' boards and such trying to see if they will pick up financial support, but I just don't think people understand what exactly is going on.  3D Realms, the studio...the developer...the company...is CLOSING!!!

Personally, Take-Two needs to put some other team onto the game that has experience with FPS stuff, take the assets that there are, and just finish the game off.  It's a fucking shame that DNF won't see the light of day after all this time and anticipation.  We know it's not going to be the revolutionary FPS that everyone thinks it will be.  We do, however, know that it'll be Duke Nukem...and that's all we fucking want!

So wait, since Duke Nukem forever is now (probably) canceled, will that page go like the Halo MMO one did? Or rather, if DNF is officially canceled will it be removed?

They should of just thrown out the damn game when they had that 500 grand insentive.
    The silly bananas.
Good luck to them all but I can't see anyone employing someone who's spent 10 years making a game that's lost all these millions of dollars.
