A medieval weapon consisting of a length of wood attached by a chain to a weight at the end, often similar to a mace head.
Morning stars are clubs topped with a spiked ball popularized during medieval times. The spikes are what distinguish the weapon from basic maces. Sometimes the spiked ball is attached to the club by a chain, but this would more commonly be referred to as a flail.
