    Overview

3x3 Eyes: Seima Densetsu ("Legend of the Divine Demon") is a Mega-CD RPG based on the 3x3 Eyes property created by Yuzo Takada. It is a traditional turn-based Japanese RPG with a top-down perspective and follows the plot of the manga from its beginning.

The story concerns a demon girl named Pai who makes a trip to Tokyo Japan after meeting a professor near her home in Tibet, looking for an artifact that would turn her into a regular human being. She belongs to a race called the Sanjiyan Unkara, known for their mystical third eye that can cast magic, and when in Tokyo meets a young man named Yakumo who turns out to be the professor's son. Yakumo is killed by a rampaging demon, actually Pai's familiar who was stolen by her upon arrival in Japan, but Pai is able to resurrect him by turning him into her immortal servant through her magic. The duo then set out to find the artifact, meeting other Sanjiyan and treasure hunters along the way.

Due to being a Mega-CD game, it uses anime-style cutscenes throughout the story inspired by the manga's OVA adaptations from 1991-1992. This game also shares the same subtitle as the sequel OVAs, though those were released afterwards in 1995.
