I've gotta get back my Crystal Skull, or die trying.
Overview
The second game in the 50 Cent action game franchise is not a direct sequel to Fiddy's first game 50 Cent: Bulletproof. The game has had a few trailers to this date, and has shown very impressive visuals. A brief gameplay video was released, as of now it is unknown whether the video was pre-rendered or not.
There will be a co-op mode in which players can team up as 50 Cent and one of his brothers-in-rhyme from G-Unit: Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and DJ Whoo Kid, each with a special combat ability. Blood on the Sand will also feature online competitive multiplayer modes for the G-Unit to duke it out in. The game's soundtrack will consist of famous 50 Cent tracks as well as some exclusives made just for the game.
While 2005's Bulletproof imagined if 50 Cent had not gone into rapping, Blood on the Sand imagines if 50 became a rapping, gun-totting peace keeper. Who needs Middle East Peace Accords when you have 50 Cent and the G-G-G-G-G-G-UNIT?
Published by THQ and utilizing Unreal Engine 3, Blood on the Sand is going to launch in January 19th, 2009, for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Plot
After performing to a packed crowd in a fictional war torn middle eastern country. Fifty's payment is stolen by a ex CIA agent turned crime baro. Fifty cent and G-unit are forced to become gun toting vigilantes and hunt down the drug lord and hopefully collect there stolen payment and bring "hip-hop" justice to the landPossible Drop
With Activison's take over of Vivendi Sierra, the only games said to be picked up by Activision would be Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Ice Age, Prototype, and a unnamed title. It is unclear if Blood in Sand will now be dropped. While there has been no confirmation on Blood in the Sand's current development, most of the game industry have assumed that Blood in the Sand is still in development. This is due to the already advanced footage shown in the trailers, making the game unlikely to drop in such an advanced stage.
Switching Publishers
After the Activision Vivendi merger, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand was put in limbo after the merged company announced that it would no longer be publishing a number of Sierra games, one of which was confirmed to be 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand after which was rumoured to be cancelled. After a period of silence about the fate of the game it has been pick up to be published by THQ, which is best known for putting out the Smackdown Vs Raw and Saints Row series.

New 50 Cent Trailer Confirms New Publisher, Confirms Total Off-The-ChainnessOK, fine. I'll admit it. I find 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand to be a compelling idea and am quite interested in playing it for myself. There. Done.
