A furniture that provides a place to sleep. In video games, often used to regain health, skip time and *ahem* other activities...
Used in puzzle games to be broken, moved, or matched by color, shape and size. Also used in many early 3D polygonal games. Not to be confused with Squares or Cubes.
The ball typically used in the sport of bowling. Can sometimes be used as a weapon for non-bowling games.
Bubbles help you float, they can help you see things in a magnified way. Bubbles can also be your best of friend, which is why they should be handled with only the softest of breath.
Tiny pieces of candy that have paranormal effects on blobs.
Ketchup is a popular condiment, usually made primarily with tomatoes, used to liven up everything from omelettes to french fries.
Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.
A ladder is used to gain access to higher or lower ground. Also used as a weapon in most wrestling games.
Also known as an Easter Island head, the Moai has long been a popular figure in games as an enemy or object. Konami games are especially known for secret images of Moai that the player can seek out.
Last resort when falling from the sky. Allows the user to glide to safety with ease.
It gives meaning to gravity in 2 dimensions. There is no other object which so defines Games as separate from every other pursuit. Where else does one encounter a platform but from the bounds of a video screen? ...except for delivery men.
Portable holes are "holes" that you can carry with you, and if "affixed" to a surface, will make a hole there. If put on a wall, someone could go through the wall, if put on the ground, it can make someone fall in the hole or warp somewhere else, depending on the game.
A wire that transfers electricity.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a chemical reaction that causes a controlled explosion resulting in thrust. Rockets are usually "dumb" weapons, meaning that they are not guided. Rockets are the most powerful projectile in many games.
Spikes are dangerous and often deadly obstacles that can line the floor, walls, or ceiling of any given room or passageway. They are an extremely common form of environmental hazard, particularly in side-scrolling games.
A box containing treasure usually in the form of gold or valuable items.
Umbrellas are found in all sorts of games. They appear as items to protect against rain and as weapons, among other uses.
