A Tale in the Desert (ATITD) is a unique massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG). It takes place in ancient Egypt and can be distinguished from the other MMORPGs by not having the traditional combat. Game focuses on crafting, trading, politics and general economic and social development. Most unique perhaps is the game's political system, which allows players to vote on laws that will be hardcoded into the game.
ATITD client is available for all three major computer platforms(Windows, Linux and Mac). Players can login and play for free for the first 24 hours of game play, after that its a monthly fee of $11.95.
The first version of ATITD was released in 2003 and this is known as Tale 1. The latest generation known as Tale 8 goes live on the 2nd of March 2018
