The Sound an Achievement Makes

We all know the sound; it's the same sound as when somebody invites you to a game, or a friend signs on. My question is, does anyone else hear this sound out of nowhere, despite the fact that there is no 360 around? I was in a public restroom the other day and I swear I heard the sound.

That, my friend, means you play way too much 360. I used to get the same thing, but with Goofy's laugh. Oddly enough, it was around the time I was playing Kingdom Hearts II for four hours a day.

I'm not sure which game this was, I think it was Ninja Gaiden II, but it had a sound in its soundtrack that was very similar to the BEBLOP of achievements. It freaked me out every time.

Sadly yes -- or sometimes when I'm playing a game and nobody has signed in/an achievement pops up I hear it.

...I hate it.

It happens a lot when I'm playing NBA 2K7, for some reason. That sound seems to chime into effect, but no graphic is displayed on screen.

It's very unfortunate my sense of hearing has become dominated by the will of the achievement.

Always happens. Just running around in the game and think I hear an achievement sound, than start standing still waiting for it to pop up. It's incredibly annoying... but so delicious.
