Minor complaint but for someone that hasn't watched the second series that picture is a pretty big spoiler.
Which finished more than six months ago.
Everything is a spoiler for someone about something. Deal.
Not in my country.
Yeah, well, sorry, but STUFF continued to happen in season 2 of the show.
Well count how many hands Merle has. It's actually not a spoiler for anything in season 2, I promise.
Here I am hoping that another Walking Dead property can handle Daryl and Merle as deftly as the show does, and make an experience focused on them interesting and introspective into societal paradigms in a post-apocalyptic world, but what the fuck. It's Activision. If the game's going to sell, it's not going to do any of that.

The Walking Dead does. The Telltale one. See? You already have what you're looking for.
I think I'll stick with the, in my mind already, vastly superior Telltale version. But thanks anyway.
my knowledge of the walking dead is from the game and a couple of mates that are obsessed with it but isnt the point of it that loud noises attract them (gun fire) so they use bats and axes and stuff

i heard there's a really great bit with a farm
Really? An FPS? That is not suited to this series. There was rarely shooting in the comics and even in the series there was very little. They're going to have to "action it up" to make it work and by "action it up" I mean "ruin the whole spirit of the story". I am dissapoint games industry.
Robert Kirkman is really milking this for all its worth, isn't he? Oh well, give us a Walking Dead musical while you're at it!

Maybe it's DayZ-like, with higher production values. Unlikely, but that would be cool.
This is exactly what I was thinking. The show (the only medium I've seen it on) was very adamant about being careful not to draw attention with sound, and if they don't completely screw it up, they could make something close to what I was thinking DayZ could be as well.

Now this is a Walking Dead game I might actually play. What a pleasant surprise, Friday is turning out to be a good news day.
Did you get into a car crash last Friday or something? Brain damage is a very serious problem it seems.
Even your blatant irritation cannot sour my mood, for this is a fine day indeed. I do hope whatever is really bothering you works out for the best, dear Captain, as I wish you only the best. n_n@Deusoma said:

Nosir, the problem with this particular issue is that I'm simply not interested in adventure games anymore, regardless of quality. First-person shooters, on the other hand, continue to keep me entertained provided they are well made.@Deusoma said:

The episodic Walking Dead series is made up entirely of adventure games. This one is a first-person shooter. Ergo, "this is a Walking Dead game I might actually play." At no point did I cast aspersions on the Telltale product, I merely voiced my own opinion. This isn't rocket science, friend.
Although it does amuse me that the real "problem with everything", at least as much as it pertains to the Internet, is people being rude and horrible to each other with little provocation, and your reaction to my comment, and those of a couple of other people, are picture-perfect examples of this.
Nonetheless, I am still in a fantastic mood, and wish you only the best, as it really has been a good day for me.
Something tells me that the game will play like COD and have a story like COD. I expect nothing from this game.
Nope. Not the way I want my Walking Dead. First person shooter-ing not play to the strengths of the series at all...

I've always loved the irony in someone hating someone else because of their hate, i.e. hating racists because they're racist, thus creating more hate.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a proponent of racism, I just enjoy studying human psychology. It's interesting at the very least.
This is idiotic.

Yup, racist people are outwardly hurtful to others based on fake constructs. I think it's fair game to dislike them for this.
So we're finally getting another Redneck Rampage sequel, this time with zombies. Sweet.
FPS? You never want to shoot your gun because it will attract more walkers. Who gave this the go ahead? Someone woefully out of touch with what this IP actually is?
Pretty much how I feel as well. The two Telltale episodes so far have been really excellent, and play to the strengths of what The Walking Dead is all about. This game's existence seems unnecessary, but I guess that's business for ya!It won't hold a candle to the adventure game. What's the point of another first-person zombie shooter?
I hope it won't be a straight up FPS, but in the vein of Terminal Reality's Descent style 6DOF FPS games Terminal Velocity/Fury3/Hellbender. Imagine shooting zombies, in mine shafts, with a bow, from a hovercraft unaffected by gravity!

You had me at hovercraft.
