Yes, That's Bobby Kotick Acting Alongside Brad Pitt in Moneyball
Spoiler:
The A's win the world series, and are heralded as the greatest team to grace the diamond. Unfortunately, they do not sell enough merchandise, so Bobby Kotick quickly disassembles the team and they vanish into obscurity.

The A's only made it to the playoffs under Bean. Maybe they won a series, but never made it to the World Series.
The Moneyball book is a great read - totally recommended even for casual fans of the sport
Not sure about the movie yet.. but the trailer seems pretty close to the text, which is promising
everytime i see these dodge commercials i think the cars going to flip and a dead body is going to roll out and dexter is gonna be like OH SHIT
I like how Bobby is the guy in the movie that tells Brad he can't do something. Just like real life huh?
This is a joke, right?
Right????? Oh dear god, please tell me this is a joke. Just a sick, sick, perverted joke.
EDIT: I think Kotick, at some point, needs to become a little self-aware and be the bad guy in a movie or the last boss in a video game. Maybe, even best of all, there is a twist in the final Modern Warfare game where he is the secret supervisor of Makarov and the guy who nukes the planet.

I loved that book and cannot wait to see the movie. Just for the nostalgia of the good Oakland Athletics.
Yeah I'm really curious how this is going to play out. Ironically I picked up the book off my shelf today to read at the DMV and then I get to work and GiantBomb has posted this.
oh yes, that scrappy Boston Red Sox champion team, cobbled together with a measly $143 million payroll, barely even second in all the major leagues!Kotick won't even change that scary-ass wig for HOLLYWOOD. Lovely.
I'm of two minds on this, on one hand as a Baseball fan and a Boston Red Sox fan (2007 is a textbook Moneyball Championship) I really really want to see this movie. On the other I really really HATE Bobby Kotick. Dilemma.
I'm a huge Oakland A's fan and in light of the last three years I want to say that Billy Beane has run this organization straight to the ground. For God's sake if you are going to make a film about the A's make it a bio-pic about Charlie O. Finley. He was ten times more interesting and at least the A's won a World Series under his management.
