In this Sci-Fi action adventure game, you take the role of Gideon Wyeth, an unlikely hero who gains extraordinary powers through unlikely allies, and must use them to defeat the greater enemy at hand...or face the utter consequences.

Plot

In the distant future, our galaxy is under attack. A race of aliens called The Seekers are trying to discover the last of an ancient race. Gideon, his brother Ethan, and his fiance Olivia, are all on the small orbital outpost called Luriam. It's soon later under attack by The Seekers, and Gideon must escape with his family. But before he can, he must make a decision on either saving his brother or his fiance. Once you do escape, your ship crash lands on a planet called Edumea. From there, Gideon and Olivia meet the race that the The Seekers are looking for, called The Aurelians. They tell Gideon that he has a great power that can be unlocked within him to stop The Seekers and save the galaxy. He trains himself to gain these powers, causing him to manipulate objects in his surroundings and the energy in the universe. Having lost his brother or fiance, Gideon is determined to stop the Seeker menace.

What Went Wrong

Originally planned as a trilogy, Advent Rising is filled with technical flaws of horrible slowdown when things get of hand and more. A million dollar contest was also planned when the game was released as players are set to find hidden collectibles (one per area) to increase their chances of winning the big bucks. Instead, that contest was filled with bugs and other issues that the developers had to cancel the contest. All of those combining together made Advent Rising a flop both critically and domestically as the trilogy never continued.

Gideon Wyeth

The main character of this game. He is an exceptional pilot and very intelligent.

Ethan Wyeth

The brother of Gideon Wyeth. He is Edumeas most celebrated hero

Olivia

Gideon's fiancee. Works for the federation as a physicist with 5 other elite members.

Marin

Executive pilot for a leading contractor of the Federation military.

Aurelians

Enorym

He commands the elite Felidic Warriors and is known throughout the Aurelian military for his bravery, strength, and most importantly, his wisdom.

Kelehm

Ninth tier Aurelian Garghon, Kelehm has enough experience and backing to become the High Senator when Aurelia is admitted to the galactic senate.
He has trained himself in human telekinetic acts.

The Seekers

The zenith of evolution in the galaxy. They occupy newly found alien races for thousands of years only to train them and recrute them to there army.
There true purpose is to destroy all Humans in the galaxy.

Powers

Throughout the game, your allies ( The Aurelians ) will unlock special powers that you can use to defeat the Seekers.

Lift

-Lift enemies into the air!
-While enemies are lifted in the air you can do a variety of things
    - Shoot at them
    -Throw them at other enemies or objects
    -Can choose to have the enemy suspended in place while Gideon moves freely or pick up multiple enemies

Time Shift

-Can teleport to a different area in the immediate vicinity
-Mastery of this skill allows Gideon to speed up so everything else moves at a slow rate

Surge

-Release a ball of energy from your hands ( the longer you hold down the trigger the more powerful )
- Mastery of this skill allows you to snatch a weapon out of an enemies hand

Negate

-Generate a shield that can block attacks
-Mastery of this skill will allow you to deploy multiple shields at once
-Alt. mode generates a bubble shield around Gideon

Aeon Pulse

-Unleash a lethal pulse of energy
-Mastery of this skill allows full 360 degrees of destruction
-Hold trigger to increase power

Shatter

-Slice enemies with Ice Shards
-Mastery of this skill allows you to freeze enemies
-Full Mastery allows a bigger radius allowing multiple enemies to be frozen at once
