Stats
There are six stats in AQ. These stats affect several things throughout the game.
Strength - Amount of damage dealt
Dexterity - Increases hit chance
Intellect - Increases magic damage
Endurance - Increases hit points
Charisma - Increases your pet's and guest's effectiveness
Luck - Decides who will attack first in a battle, as well as your chance of finding random items
There are three trainers that you must pay in order to advance these stats:
Sir Lanceler - Any stat up to 75 points
Neberon the Mage - Charisma, Luck, and Intellect up to 200 points
Grimweld the Warrior - Dexterity, Strength, and Endurance up to 200 points.
Cost to train your stats are determined by a simple equation:

Gameplay & Battles
Players click their way around the starting town of Battleon and many others areas available in order to speak with people, purchase items, or begin a quest or battle. Weapons and armor come with their own various sets of strengths, weaknesses, and special features. Several sets of armor, weapons, and pets are allowed to be carried in order to let you adapt to a certain monster you're fighting.
Battles are turn based, and have a weakness system based off of percentages. These percentages are visible to you from the start of the battle. If a monster has an Earth weakness of 60%, than it takes 60% of the normal damage your spell or attack would cause. Thus the larger percent you see next to an element, the better it is to attack with that spell. A negative percentage means your attack will heal the opponent. A percentage of zero means the attack will have no effect. In turn you yourself have weakness and strengths that can be modified by the armor or weapon you're currently carrying.
In battles, there are a few options available to you for aid. Primarily, this is found through the use of pets. Pets can be purchased from many shops in many towns across Lore. Depending on the type of pet you have, it can either attack, heal, or cause a status effect on the monster. The pet's attacks are element based, much like your weapon. A pet's attack strength and frequency of attack and determined by your level of Charisma. Secondly, while on many quests a character from that storyline will offer their aid. Their effectiveness is also determined by your Charisma stat.
