    Overview

    Agent is a third-person action game taking place in the late 1970s, during the height of the Cold War and its associated culture of secrecy, espionage, and paranoia. Currently, there is no other detailed information about the game.

    E3 Debut

    Agent was first announced in development at Rockstar North on June 2, 2009 by Jack Tretton at the Sony E3 2009 press conference.

    The announcement was made nearly two years after SCEA announced on PlayStation.Blog that Rockstar would be developing a new intellectual property with Sony exclusive to PlayStation 3. According to Sony, "[they’ve] agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios."

    Since the game's announcement, very few details have been discussed. Although Rockstar stated in 2011 that Agent was still in development, many consider it vaporware.
