Take-Two has stated that they've chosen the PlayStation 3 as the exclusive platform for this new intellectual property because they have a lot of confidence in Sony and "their ability to lead the market, as they always have," adding that “Their console is a terrific platform to be developing for, and Agent is a great testament as to our belief in what that platform can do, and what they can do with us as part of a partnership.”
Agent was first announced in development at Rockstar North ( Grand Theft Auto IV) on June 2, 2009 by Jack Trenton at the Sony E3 2009 press conference. It is one of the three brand new intellectual properties announced by SCEA at the show.
The announcement was made nearly two years after SCEA announced on PlayStation.Blog that Rockstar would be developing a new intellectual property with Sony exclusive to PlayStation 3. According to Sony, "[they’ve] agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios."

Overview
Agent is an espionage action game exclusive for the PlayStation 3. Agent takes place during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s, taking players on a paranoid journey around the world of political assassination, espionage, and counter-intelligence. The game is due out in 2010.
