For whatever reason, (probably gold farming or spambots) Aion doesn't have a public trial or "demo". This is a problem for me since I insist on trying MMO's out before purchasing them and I would love to kick WoW and try something new, WAR didn't work for me and Age of Conan felt half baked at Launch and I just wasn't into paying for that.  So I was wondering if one of you fine gents could hook me up with a refer a friend? If asking for this goes against any rules I apologize and I'll delete this.

I used to play Aion but it is not very good unless you love grinding.
 
I will be honest here and say that no MMO feels quite as satisfying as WoW.
 
Have you tried Guild Wars?

Aion has ZERO customer support when I last played. They were throwing banhammers out just after the game had launched, and thousands of innocent players (myself included) got caught up in the whole mess.  
 
The game also has a horrible (unmasked) grind. In retrospect, I was kinda crazy for playing that game longer than the first month.

As someone who played Aion at release, I beg you - don't play it.

Hmmm that much grinding eh? Well I appreciate the advice, I'll continue to look at it from a distance then.
