The Creeps Come Out At Night

I had been waiting on Remedy to release this game for the better part of 3 years, so the anticipation and expectation were runnning high.  This game delivers in almost every way that counts.  The music is great, with songs and lyrics that go hand in hand with the plot of the game.  The music also adds a touch of humor.  These great songs, along with the quirky characters and amusing tv shows come together to ease the tension that the story creates so well.  The game itself is well paced, with solid dodging and shooting mechanics.  I could have definitely used a few more enemy types throughout the game, but the ones that you battle have solid AI.  The atmosphere is amazing, and the graphics are crisp.  The characters are believeable and most importantly, they are likable.  You will actually care what happens to these guys throughout this stroy.  With the addition of more enemy types and perhaps a greater variety of combat scenarios, this could have been a five star experience.

      Fright Train to Awesometown 0

The roof is on fire, gonna burn it to the ground!    I have been on a quest for a really good story driven suspense or horror themed game for a long, long time. Resident Evil 5 was alright, but it didn't have that creepy atmosphere and the story was throw away.  Alone in the Dark had some great ideas and music but the gameplay was simply broken. Heavy Rain seemed to have a lot of promise and it was fun but was hit and miss in both  gameplay and story. And who at Giant Bomb has not played...
