Things that go bump in the night

If you like story driven games that are slow burners with heaps of atmosphere than this game is definitely for you. Alan Wake is more a TV show than a game, and the premise is fresh and fun.

The graphics won't be pushing your PC to the limit, but the world is vividly imagined with minute realistic details. I loved the way the trees were swaying during my nocturnal flights of fear.

There were murmurs of complaint that the game wasn't scary enough nor that it had enough action. I found the game a fun outing but if you want quick fix thrills than this wont be your cup of tea.

The PC version I have has extra episodes with comments by the developers that make a second play-though really tempting and all-in-all this is a great little package. Not a money-grabbing port but a decent upgrade that is your money's worth.

He wakes up a week after he arrives, in his crashed car, in the middle of he woods. He soon finds the cover page t...
