James Marcus

One of the three founders of the Umbrella Corporation and the creator of the T-Virus. He was murdered by William Birkin and Albert Wesker after being ordered to do so by Umbrella's higher ups. His own creation brought him back to life and out of revenge he unleashed the T-Virus infection in the Arklay Mountains research facilities. Thus sparking the events of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 1.
Jill Valentine

Jill Valentine is the original female protagonist of the Resident Evil franchise, as well as the protagonist of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. She is presumed dead at the beginning of Resident Evil 5.
Josh Stone

Captain of the DELTA team squad for the BSAA. Josh is the only survivor of BSAA West African branch. He is devoted to protecting its people from the virus unleashed in Resident Evil 5.
Leon S. Kennedy

Graduating from humble beginnings as a rookie police officer, Leon Kennedy is a skilled government agent tasked with the extermination of biological weapons created by the Umbrella Corporation.

Lisa Trevor is a a girl who's been infected by the T-Virus, and can be found in the Spencer Mansion in the remake of the first Resident Evil.
