So far Ive played three games and with random people THEY SUCK. They can hardly stay alive and do not know what they are doing. I was in a game where the techie did not hack a station and just stood fighting. Or a medic who did not drop heal packs. It was all ways me and Corpse outlaw*from GB* Who where the last two standing. And two can not fight an alien horde.

You're playing a game that has just been released on  steam, surely people who have never played the mod before are picking it up and trying things out, therefore you will be stuck with nubs.

the games only bit out, only a few hours?  don't think many have played the original UT mod.  So it's safe to say there's gonna be people who jump in and don't know what they are doing.

Shit gets super intense. Make sure someone is a medic. Especially in later levels. 

Seems like they've taken out the little stat progression thing from the mod... :( bummer, since that really pushed you to do better than your teammates. Just played a few games and it seems like they've turned down the shotgun friendly damage :p, if they didn't I would've died on several occasions due to friendly fire. :')

Download's almost finished! I haven't played the original mod, and I have no idea what I'm doing, but I learn quick.

It could be the multicore of your cpu if you have it. Mine stutters on the engine (L4D, L4D2, and now this). There's a console command to disable multicore stuff and that helps a lot if you have stuttering issues (possibly the freezing you're talking about). "

I downloaded but haven't played it yet. Ill probably play in 30 mins or so.

Seems like all these problems could be solved by a little communication. Shout out "Hey techie, hack this station!" or "Medic, need health" and I'm sure things will come along just fine. Remember, there's a lot of new players.

I did watch two of my squad run into a toxic pool and dying. But, they figured out what needed to be done.

This game wants people to use the source SDK to make new levels.

There's no real explanation about... anything... plus the game just came out (even though the mod has existed for a while), so a lot of people have no idea what to do.

just got up to level 10 and stage like 5 or 6 with 1 to 2 friends lol. game is awesome especially since it is free.

It's been out for a day, not even that. Give people a chance to become good.

I played several hours today with randoms and even though everyone was new we did okay for the most part. It's pretty easy to get into the basics.
 
There was one player though that didn't understand to escape with the group on the last level, so we all died when the nuke went off. :(
