One of the few A-list games for the jaguar platform.
ALIEN VS PREDATOR is a first person shooter developed by Rebellion software studios and published by Atari for the Jaguar system . The game allowed the player to choose one of three characters, the Alien, predator or as a Colonial Marine by the name of Lance Lewis. It was a premier release for the jaguar system in 1994 and it was hoped, by Atari to redress and reverse flagging sales of the console in all regions. Alas news of the Sega Saturn and of the Sony Play-station in the works, plus a weak software catalog, failed to achieve this. The system was all but defunct within a few months.
There are three scenarios in which to play. First you can play as a Marine. Your job is to find a way to self-destruct the base and kill all the nasties while making your escape in a life raft (pod) before it goes nuclear. The second scenario allows you to play as an Alien. Your job is to find and protect the Queen from the Marines as well as the Predators. Finally, you can play as the Predator. The Predator must simply find the Alien Queen and take her back to its homeworld.
