You realize Rogue Warrior being crap isn't even Rebellions fault not even nearly their fault? Zombie Studios developed the game first, Zombie Studios developed it for 2 years and Bethesda didn't like it and scraped it then they gave 9 months to Rebellion to develop it again....9 months..so it's very obvious that rebellion rushed Rogue Warrior to make the 9 month deadline.

Just judging by some of the early gameplay videos for AvP I'm going to imagine it will perform a lot better in all areas than Rogue Warrior did. Except maybe for the music playing during the credits, not sure AvP can top that.

Rebellion have made some hits and misses in their career when it comes to licensed product.  They are HUGE fans of 2000 AD and even had some of the comic book art team onsite for both Judge Dredd vs Death and Rogue Trooper (no relation to Rogue Warrior).  The Dredd game was awful but the Rogue Trooper was awesome.  I hope that AVP is just as awesome.

If it is even half as good as the original AVP games, then we will be in for something special.

Indeed. I found it to be a really enjoyable game, with a lot of cool elements (not least of which was a cherished 2000AD character). Plus it was the first game I'd played that used blind fire.

A couple recent previews made it seem like the game is kicking ass in both its single player campaigns and multiplayer.  Should be a lot of fun.

This is developed by Rebellion's main Oxford studio, the same guys who did Sniper Elite and Rogue TROOPER (not Warrior). Rogue Warrior and ShellShock 2 were developed by Rebellion's Derby studio (the old Core Design, or the orginal Tomb Raider guys) who had a small team and very dated tech. Rebellion just closed off the Derby brach recently.

So technically they're not even the same studio.

I've liked you whenever we've had comment exchanges in the past, you always seem fun and positive. But to the above: "No you couldn't."
They did a damn good job with just nine months and you know it. This studio seems to have had the right idea about going after this franchise. And I think that only time will tell if they're worth their mettle.

I played the demo. Fortunately, it isn't at the caliber of suckiness that Rogue Warrior achieved, at least as far as gameplay goes.

Rogue Warrior was very unpolished, Rebellion took over development of a game that was already made and then scrapped and then had to do it within strict time limits.   So it was a bad game because of that fact.  Aliens Vs. Predator should be alot more polished and they made the first AvP game and it was very good.
