All-Star Baseball 2000 was released in 1999 by Acclaim Entertainment Inc. only on Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color. The game had all major league baseball teams and used all of the 1999 rosters. This was also one of the first baseball games that had the ability to trade players. Also the game included a Play-off Mode where you could pick any team and play through the play-offs with to try to win the World Series. A home run derby mode was also included with the game.

The strongest team in this game were the New York Yankees. The weakest team were the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (now called the Tampa Bay Rays). The game separated MLB teams into the American and National Leagues. There were also two All-Star teams, one for the American League and one for the National League. Each team had All-Star players from the last 80 years. All-Star Baseball 2000 created some of the basic features in today's baseball video games.
