Dwarves
- Led by Magni Bronzebeard
- Their capital city is Ironforge, they share it with the Gnomes
- Classes Available: Hunter, Paladin, Priest, Rogue or Warrior
Gnomes
- Led by Gelbin Mekkatorque
- Their capital city once was Gnomergean until it was attacked by an invasion of Trolls
- Their capital city is now Ironforge, shared with the Dwarves
- Classes Available: Mage, Rogue, Warlock or Warrior
Night Elves
- Led by Tyrande Whisperwind
- Their capital city is Darnassus
- Classes Available: Druid, Hunter, Priest, Rogue or Warrior
- Night Elves are the only Alliance class that can play as the Druid class
Draenei
- Led by Prophet Velen
- Their capital city was once Shattrath City, it is now Exodar
- Classes Available: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Shaman or Warrior
- The Draenei race was introduced to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion pack
- Draenei is the only Alliance race that can use the Shaman class
