Alone in the Dark 2 is the sequel to Alone in the Dark 1 and features the same mixture of cinematic action sequences as well as minor puzzle solving. The game is part of the original Alone in the Dark trilogy as developed by Infogrames Entertainment

Abilitease

Abilitease is an aspect of game design wherein a game will provide a glimpse of your full skill-set at or near the start, only to remove most of these skills, stats, and abilities soon after.

The Locked Door

It's the designer's go-to guy. If they want to steer a player in a given direction they'll lock an in game door and force the player to find a way to either unlock it or find an alternate route.
Travel-Free Shooting

The inability to walk in any direction whilst shooting a weapon of any sort. The player usually still has the ability to pivot.
