    Haunting to the last

How many hours and sleepless nights has this game stolen from my life. I remember me and by best school chum sitting in my darkened room, biting our finger nails and being scared to bits while sneaking through the Lovecraftiion mansion.

The game is a nice mix of action / platformer style sequences where you have to fight of various monsters either punching or shooting them to bits (or do other things) and figuring out some very basic puzzles which are no comparision to "pure" adventure games, but fit nicely into the context of an action-adventure game and go with the flow.

What shines out is the creepy story which slowly unfolds as you trace the steps of the manor's former occupant and past-time demon summoner, reading his letters and discovering his secrets.

A fantastic game that should be played by every genre enthusiast !

It's extremley similar, right down to the 3d characters on static 2d backgrounds, enemies coming from the windows, the list goes on but I think it's too pretentious to compare ...
