Dig Deeper into Alpha Protocol

Alpha Protocol is a third-person action-RPG from Obsidian Entertainment in which the player controls field agent Michael Thorton, who is trying to unearth a conspiracy that could have international consequences. Think Mass Effect, but with spies.

US Release Date: June 1, 2010

It's nice to finally see that this game exists.

I dunno, doesn't look very interesting to me anymore.

I really hope this is Mass Effect 2 but with spies. If so, AWESOME.

So much fuzzy transmission. SEGA need to sort their satellite out.

Looks like it'll be worth a play.

Oh yeah, they updated their cover! Nice!

I'm still holding out for the option that lets you play as Michael Westen. Or Sterling Archer.

Ok.  So why didn't this game come out last year when it was supposed to?

TheFreeManon Feb. 25, 2010 at 3:15 p.m.
Action and story look pretty solid, although the lip-syncing looks really.....underdeveloped. That might just be because I finished playing Mass Effect 2 not too long ago, though.

"creators of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II"
What a questionable endorsement. I'm guessing they hope no one notices the "II" at the end.

Haha hello AP, I don't care how good you try to look, I DON'T TRUST YOU!

That was a damn good game in its own right, it just wasnt the first in the series so everyone assumes it wasnt as good.

Obsidian dudes are all mostly former Black Isle guys, so it's bound to have some good rpg elements in the game, i'm not too worried about that aspect.  I just want to see how they actually pull off the combat without making it look awkward.

"Yes" is the only legitimate answer to that question.

Assumes? I did play through it.
Even though the mechanics in the game were improved over KOTOR, the lacking story really dragged it down to ultimately being a worse game than the first IMO.
