I seem to remember in the list of upcoming things on the main page of the sight it had "Quicklook: Amy" listed for Monday, 1/16/12.

I know this game is bad (I played the demo myself), but I'd really like to see what Giant Bomb thinks of it... oh well

Should be amusing. I thought the trial was perfectly fine - protective instincts, I always held her hand. Sometimes you can feel her pulse through the controller, that was quite cool. But then, yeah, apparently it pisses any potential away with awful instant-fails and awful checkpoints and awful puzzles and awfully implemented powers.

It was supposed to go live an hour ago (2pm UK time).

I always thought the "upcoming" timetable was actually linked to the articles.... Assuming the articles were complete and published... and would go 'live' at the appropriate time (something that can be done with many blogs - such as Wordpress)

Apparently this cannot be the case... as late or just straight up vanishing articles is happening more and more.... makes the "upcoming" pretty useless joke TBH

Now I'm even more sad to know it would be Vinny and Patrick...

If I were Patrick this would actually make me happy.

The "coming up" just reflects things queue to auto-publish I believe. Sometimes the process fails and if it is a three day weekend it might take a few hours for someone to sort it.
