    Overview

Anett Futatabi is the third game in the Earnest Evans trilogy of action games with an early 20th century adventure serial theme. Anett, who was previously the protagonist of El Viento, and her adoptive father/rescuer Earnest Evans are closing in on their nemesis Zigfried as he attempts to resurrect the goddess Hathur. Anett takes the lead this time, switching her boomerangs for a sword she can magically summon to her side along with her elemental magic.

The game plays far more like a typical brawler than previous games in the series, which were closer to action-platformer games, with Anett clearing rooms of enemies with a combination of sword attacks, magic, and martial arts as she heads to the right of the screen. She can knock over statues and destroy other objects for healing items and must defeat a boss at the end of each stage. Between stages, there are animated cutscenes that reveal more of the story.

The game was exclusive to the Japanese Mega CD and did not see an international localization. The animation during cutscenes was created by Madhouse, the famous anime studio: they had previously worked on fellow Sega games Earnest Evans and Sol-Feace.
