This makes sense. People have made cartoons based on far more stupid content before. Plus the art style already lends itself well to that type of show.

Nothing funnier than watching a bunch of internet kiddies spitting hyperbolic venom over some casual game just because it destroyed their favourite franchise in both sales and cultural relevance.

I'm no fan of Angry Birds or Rovio but to pretend they're doing anything but riding a wave of lucky success that could end at any moment, and to pretend that every other developer/publisher on earth doesn't or wouldn't do the same is crazy to me.

I don't quite understand the disdain for this, myself. Striking while the iron is hot is what it's all about, man! I'd do the same if I had a property like AB. And it's not these guys are selling out by making some shitty cartoon show that Alex will never watch. The whole fad is easy to ignore, like Jersey Shore and bronies.

Man, I love these games. They're perfect to play when you're waiting to get your hair cut, or if you die in ME3 multiplayer and you're waiting for the next round. But a cartoon? That's kind of too much... I won't watch it though, I guess, and that way I'll still be able to like these games. As for the types of games made, I kind of just hope they leave it with the slingshot. That's what everybody loves.

Well they have two options really:

1) Ride this concept into the ground so hard they are remembered along side the likes of ABC primetime series and then come up with a new idea to rake in the cash of the masses, all the while swimming in cash.

2) Do the "honorable" thing and not try to milk this dry like filthy corporate thieves, instead slowly fading into obscurity.

Its awful, but damn man, ride that train into the ground and then walk away!

I've played Angry Birds. Its as unentertaining as the extremely similar concept flash games I played years prior. I don't understand why its so popular. How many small children can possibly own smartphones.
