Nintendo is offering Animal Crossing users the opportunity to celebrate the company's [still] much loved console, the Nintendo GameCube, with the release of a Gamecube chest item to download.  In order to do so using WiiConnect24, players must speak with Rover and ensure user-to-user communication is unrestricted in the Wii's Parental Controls.

The GameCube chest will be available from August 15th to 29th. Sadly, it seems only to come in purple.
