Favourite Neighbour/Animal

The new trailer got me excited for the game and got me reminiscing about the old games. I realised that I could remember quite a good few of my neighbours from Wild World. I was always partial to Squirrels and Alligators, but the one neighbour that sticks out for me was specifically Apollo the Eagle. He was with me from the start and chilled in my town for a good long time.

What are your favourite animals to get as neighbours? And any fond memories of a specific neighbour from any of the games?

Apollo was always my favorite as well. I just have fond memories in general of Animal Crossing.

Savannah (Zebra). She's my DS version best bud. Been there since the start. If she were to leave, I'd have to bulldoze everything. Just booted Wild World up yesterday, in fact, and she was there on the title screen. My town is a long-abandoned wasteland, however.

I think that was his name. The stoner (male) Squirrel who wore a dress and owned it.

Wolfgang. He was my Gamecube version's best friend. Was never able to get him in the DS version though...

My village never feels complete unless Bob is in it. I've just got to have him around.

I've always felt that it is a personal failure of mine that I haven't been able to get in to Animal Crossing. I only reallllly tried with the Wii version... but, I just can't figure out what I need to do to make it fun. I feel like things to do in the game were just being trickled out at way too slow a pace, and I became way too tired of just picking up fruit every day. Someone help?
