The new trailer got me excited for the game and got me reminiscing about the old games. I realised that I could remember quite a good few of my neighbours from Wild World. I was always partial to Squirrels and Alligators, but the one neighbour that sticks out for me was specifically Apollo the Eagle. He was with me from the start and chilled in my town for a good long time.

What are your favourite animals to get as neighbours? And any fond memories of a specific neighbour from any of the games?

Apollo was always my favorite as well. I just have fond memories in general of Animal Crossing.

Savannah (Zebra). She's my DS version best bud. Been there since the start. If she were to leave, I'd have to bulldoze everything. Just booted Wild World up yesterday, in fact, and she was there on the title screen. My town is a long-abandoned wasteland, however.

Not sure about my favourite, but Limberg is easily my least favourite. What an ass.

My village never feels complete unless Bob is in it. I've just got to have him around.

I've always felt that it is a personal failure of mine that I haven't been able to get in to Animal Crossing. I only reallllly tried with the Wii version... but, I just can't figure out what I need to do to make it fun. I feel like things to do in the game were just being trickled out at way too slow a pace, and I became way too tired of just picking up fruit every day. Someone help?

Otis was my main man. Through thick and thin he stuck it out with me in our little town, and always he dropped the greatest jokes.

Jay was always my favorite from the GC game. Was sad when he moved to my friend's town.

Boomer was always the coolest. I used to chill with him on the island.

Bob was the worst. He gave me bad vibes, pthpthh.

I had Rosie and Anchovy in my first Gamecube town, and those guys are now my bros too.

I've never even heard of most of these. Probably because there has been very little turnover in my village.

Kiki is my favourite, she's been in the village since day one. I hope she's in New Leaf.

Cousteau. Love that guy! I'll be wrecked if he ever leaves me. I was pretty upset when Huck moved out of my town. I looked up a list of the neighbors online to refresh my memory a bit. I always really liked Tom, Chief, and Lucky. There's a few characters I have a deep hatred for. One is a horse named Cleo. I remember I would send her threatening letters and include garbage inside that I reeled out of the lake. There's so many cool looking villagers that I'm bummed I never got to meet. For instance, Louie (who resembles Donkey Kong), Pigleg (a pirate pig), Ribbot (a robot frog), Scoot (a special ed duck), and Stinky (a Luchador cat, AKA un luchagato). Haha, well I feel pathetic, but I've been playing the game on and off for about 10 years. I'll always go back and play it for a couple weeks every year. I feel like doing that now. I still think the GC one is the best. I'm bummed I sold my 3DS for the simple fact that I want New Leaf, but it's just not the same to have to redo it alllll over again. City Folk felt like such a downgrade from the original, it just wasn't worth any substantial investment to me.

Bob's my favorite. He was in my original gamecube town from start to finish and he showed up in my DS one for a short while. Dude was always so chill.

I havn't played an animal crossing game in a long while, but i really liked Cube the penguin in the gamecube animal crossing, and according to the animal crossing wiki he is in new leaf as well. That little dude loved robots....

Camofrog was my homie. Loved that guy.

I had a few but for some reason all the only one that really comes to mind is Agent S

Nate all the way. I had him on the GC and I would still visit him until my house was broken into about a year ago. I had my memory card in my Wii when they took it.
