    Overview

Anthony Carmine is one of the original members of Delta Squad. He serves with protagonist Marcus Fenix through portions of the game’s first act, until he is shot in the head by a Locust sniper while complaining about his gun's constant jamming. Coincidentally, Carmine was also voted "most likely to get shot" in the COG Academy. Anthony has three other brothers, Benjamin, who died in Gears of War 2, Clayton, who is involved in the events of Gears of War 3, and an unnamed fourth brother.

    Legacy

Because of Carmine's overwhelming popularity in the original Gears of War, his brother, Benjamin Carmine, is a character in Gears of War 2. Anthony is a playable character in the Gears of War 2 multiplayer if the player has unlocked the "Completed Act 1" achievement from the original Gears of War.

Throughout the Gears of War multiplayer scene, Anthony Carmine has always been a popular character skin. As such for Gears of War 3, Anthony Carmine is the final character skin the player unlocks, nestled at Rank 75, to symbolise his relevance for the veteran players of the series.
