The story in Gothic 4 takes place 10 years after the events that happened in Gothic 3. We aren't playing The Nameless Hero, but a poor fisherman, which is desired to be someone like "Second Nameless Hero". Like his precursor, he is nameless too. The real nameless hero, known now as King Rhobar III, is evil king. The second hero's task is in player's hands. We can convince him that he shouldn't be evil, end his ruling, kill him, or ignore him, and even join him and ally him. The destiny of Myrtana lies in player's hands.
