    History

For thousands of years before the founding of the Holy Kingdom of Archanea, the great dragons known as the manakete ruled over the lands of Archanea. When their population began decreasing, the elders instructed the dragons to store their power inside the dragonstones, hoping to prevent the degeneration of their species. Unfortunatly, the Earth Dragons did not follow this advice, and massacred the humans of Archanea. Led by the Divine Dragon King Naga, the Divine Dragons engaged in a long and bloody war with the Earth Dragons which took the lives of most of the dragons. After the war, Naga created the Shield of Seals, and used its power to seal all the Earth Dragons, to protect humanity. Naga then entrusted Xane, Gotoh, Bantu, and Medeus with protecting humanity, and then put his daughter Tiki to sleep, hoping to prevent her from becoming savage, following that last act he created the Falchion and passed away from exhaustion.

Centuries after the death of Naga, a young thief raided Raman Temple, and took the Shield of Seals for his own benefit. Selling the gems that lay on the face of the shield for a fortune, he raised an army to unite the land. After a decade of fighting, the young man had built his kingdom, and the Holy Kingdom of Archanea was founded. Despite uniting the land, the Archaneans despised the manakete, and treated with hostility and cruelty. These actions turned the once benevolent Medeus, into the cruel leader of the Kingdom of Dolhr.

After five centuries of peace, Medeus attacked Archanea, and nearly wiped out mankind. When all hope had seemed lost, a brave youth from a small island traveled the land looking for a weapon to defeat Medeus. Guided by a mysterious sage, the hero Anri found the Falchion sword and defeated Medeus in battle. Unfortunately for Anri, the remaining nobles of Archanea did not want a peasant to become their king, so they appointed Cartas, a hero in his own right, as husband to the princess Artemis.
