You all need to see this - HD and fullscreen it.
lol at the first video, 5 minutes of running and then he dies. the game looks pretty cool though, my interest just went up
and that 2nd vid is just crazy, about 500 billion dollars worth of jets destroyed in 5 seconds, very cool stuff.
It sounds like ArmA2 has turned out perhaps even more of a mess than Arma1 from German reviews.
I actually saw both of those videos before, and I can't see why people are impressed. A bunch of crappy AI enemies flinging themselves at each other. The bugs throughout both videos. Worst of all in both videos the guy does nothing but watch the stuff happening.

"this is why idiots that don't know anything about a game should not comment on it, there is a level/mission editor that comes with the game that makes you do crazy stuff at your command that's how the second video was created, also this video was made when the game first came out, there has been updates since then and while not bug free (what game is?) that game is excellent fun

That first video is very underwhelming. You hardly see any action at all and then the dude dies before he even see the enemy. Not saying it as a game is bad, the video just doesn't do a good job at conveying that it's good.
They're just user videos, if people can't play, or just make videos to show things other than regular gameplay, like the scale of the game, it's not the game's fault... Though saying there's no action in the vid is a little silly. You aren't going to be shooting people 5 ft in front of you here, it's more like planning attacks using a variety of allied units, calling air strikes, artillery, stuff, while using real-life tactics shooting people so far from you they appear as dots, and at the same time trying to stay covered and mobile while you hear the bullets buzz past and ricochet off of nearby rocks.
Those 2 videos were awesome. My interest is piqued. Loved Op Flash Point a lot but couldn't get into ArmA. I think I might just check this game out.
That one is awesome as well, for some reason when I try and embed it comes out really huge, I tried adjusting the HTML but it didn't work.
" It takes a beast of a machine to run it like that. "His specs from the first video just for reference for everyone:
Windows xp 32 bit/Windows 7 64 bit (Dual boot)
ATI Radeon 4870 512mb
4GB DDR2 RAM (2x 2GB sticks)
Intel Dual Core E8500 @ 3.7ghz
" Individual control of head without body movement = fucking sold!!! "i know right, fucking MGS1 had that shit.

"Indeed, as it's a war simulator to make a decent video will probably be more difficult, as you can't just run in and film things.
Check your fire!
Eh... based on the few videos I've seen... looks really 'meh'. I could perhaps see why people would like it, but it's just not for me.
