@ienkub:

What do you all think of it so far? Potentially a good game?

#11 Posted by ienkub (29 posts) -

@funkydupe: potentially a great game! i'm bad at fps in general, but after running around with the duders here for 1h25 before spotting my first enemy and killing him, i have to say that yeah, it's quite the thrill. i'm new to all of this, and there are a lot of buttons to remember and i still haven't figured some of the basics out, but aside from that i suppose it's like a horror game: you never know what's around the corner. more often than not there's nothing there, which is why you really have to keep your eyes open.

and everyone was really friendly and even though it doesn't make the game itself any better, it creates a safe environment when you figure the game out.

Totally need some guidance here too, played a bunch of arma 2 mostly on my own and on dayz and never really unlocked its true potential not having people to play with, dont wanna let it get away from me again! my steam is Megan Bomber

You could fast rope from choppers in Arma 2 with ACE, so when the game releases/we get ACE again then that will be something.

@dacnomaniac: Duder, join up!! Be sure to grab the Mumble voice thing too - even if you don't have a mic, you can still listen to our lovely voices as we lend support, way easier than just waiting for written responses.

Ugh I hate voice chat. I wish everyone would just type in chat like in the good ol days. I hate hearing everyone's stupid voices that I can barely ever understand.

I too am an Arma n00b and also looking for duders to play with. I assume I play very Vinny-like so don't be suprised if I just casually go check out for example a lighthouse nearby while being shot at by enemies (or whoever) or do other random things. My steam-ID is mystermistery.

Oh, and I'm Finnish so I would prefer like-minded Euros because of time differences.
