    Overview

    Army Men: Sarge's War is a 3D modern-military third-person shooter developed by Tactical Development (an alias of Global Star) in conjunction with 3DO and published by Global Star for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC in Europe on July 23, 2004. It was later released in North America for the PC (on July 27), Xbox (on August 2), and GameCube (on August 21).

    It is the eighth and final game of the "Sarge's Heroes" timeline in the Army Men series and the last game with direct involvement from 3DO (which went bankrupt during the game's development). Sarge's War pits the titular war hero of the Green Nation against a rogue Tan army (led by the mysterious Colonel Malice) that threatens peace between the Green and Tan Nations.
