Locking away a game mode for a month to those who pre-order doesn't seem like such a hot idea, especially when your game is competing directly with THE biggest multiplayer shooter that will be released in the next 12 months. Anybody who's going to be playing this game mode online will be playing in the first couple of days, if there's nobody to play they'll never go back. What a dumb shit marketing move. 40th Day has failed.

No one ever has intense standoffs in multiplayer, especially with AI. People just like to shoot, no consideration for dramatic tension building.

Horde isn't very good in Gears 2. They''ve started a trend yes, but it can get better. Firefight did a bunch of things right, but it still isn't the best way to go about making a survival mode. Horde would have been the best if they didn't just increase health and damage on the Locust every 10 rounds. Not to mention, they could have randomized a bit better since every 10 rounds is practically the same. Oh, and headshotting or Torquing a drone 12 friggin' times is ridiculous. Give us more variety of enemies without the meatiness. As far as this mode goes... I'll have to see more on it.

How is that a pre-order bonus? I don't get. Why pre-order at release when you don't know how good it is, or buy it within a month and lose out on game mode - OR, wait a few months until Modern Warfare is becoming slightly dull and buy it for cheap and get co-op off the fly.

It's like an incentive to wait and make them lose money. WIERD.
