WayForward is a studio that never slows down. BloodRayne: Betrayal comes out next month on downloadable services, Thor: God of Thunder just came out for DS, and Aliens: Infestation, which Sega and WayForward have been pleading ignorant about for ages, is now a real thing.

Aliens: Infestation, developed for DS and not 3DS, is a side-scrolling shooter created in collaboration with Gearbox Software, who's been crafting Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game features "large-scale versions of some of the most fan-beloved environments of the iconic films," as players recruit and swap between 19 marines.

Some of the iconic environments mentioned in the announcement release include the Sulaco, the Derelict ship, and LV-426.

Aliens: Infestation is scheduled for a September release, the same month Sega had originally been scheduled to release both Shinobi and Crush 3D for 3DS. Both were delayed yesterday.
