Angry Birds Arrives On The PlayStation Network

I have it. Looks and sounds really terrible on the PS3. Thought it would have recieved a HD facelift.

And the most expensive Angry Birds release of the Week Award goes to the Mac App Store, where it's five dollars for some reason.

Not really interested in a non-touched controlled version, also I have Boom Blox 1 & 2 if I want to play these kinds of games.

I like Angry Birds, I am not a huge fanatic for it, but I play it on the ipad or iphone every once in a while, it can kill a few minutes while waiting or something. 
 
That said, porting this to a non-touch device is just kind of dumb.  One of the reasons Angry Birds worked so well on the iOS is that it's MADE for touch input.  This is just as bad as people trying to port games to the iOS that require a virtual controller on screen, just the other way around. 
 
Touch games and control games do not mix, please stop trying to port them to each other.

I haven't yet seen a PSP mini that supported DLC, so I'm guessing this is about  as much as this edition is going to get. (Same sort of thing with the DSiWare version of Surviving High School; the iPhone/iPod Touch version has lots of stories, but the DSiWare version only has eight.) Doesn't bother me either way. I think the game's quite fun.

Don't buy it! Not optimized for the PS3 at all. Terrible controls, same exact graphics as the phone versions. Looks ugly on the big-screen.

Don't want to play this game on a console... on a portable device like touch screen phones? Hell yes! Even on the PSP it *might* be alright... but meh if people really want their Angry Birds fix that badly that they will play it at home on their console.. as oppose to a real game... I find that kind of strange.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find the art in this game depressing?

I might look into this, but at the moment, I am not so sure how well it will all work out on the PS3 since it was developed for devices that use touch-screens (iPhone/iPad) or for 1-finger input control (stated above).

This has got to be the dumbest thing ever.  I get that they might as well cash in while they're still a hot brand, but cmon.. making a freakin playstation version is the dumbest thing ever, considering that angry birds was designed as a 1 finger input game.  While it was genius / clever for touch devices... using a controller seems just...

Expect to see this game for $15 on the xbox , if you think it will be less than 800 you're only fooling yourself. that is unless it goes reight into the indie games section in which case it will probably be decently priced but sell hardly anything.

I still don't get the appeal of this game. Have the iOS version, its okay but not good enough to justify its success. Why isn't a Doodle Jump movie in the works? Now THATS a game.

Is the Move supported? It would make sense.

The minis have always been pointless since they launched the service with $8 Tetris. 
 
I think the only mini worth paying for is WTF!? 
I hate how Sony throws these in with PS+  and treats them like normal PSN games.

i'm happy with it... currently I'm still using my Berry and haven't gotten an iPad as of yet, so I finally have a way to play the game.  It's a good time waster and would only be classified as overpriced in comparison to other versions of Angry Birds, not compared to Minis.  I'm glad they put it out, even if it isn't the best version - it's good enough for me to mess around with now.

So the PS3 gets an emulated version of the PSP one. Nice.

Doesn't seem to be the best of ports.

Eeeehhhhhh... I paid for it once on the iPhone and I got it for free on my Android. Really no point in getting it again. Unless there's some sort of trophy support.

if i can i'd rather have back the 1.99 i spent buying this piece of crap "game". the game is nonsense.
