Just got an Xbox 360 to play MK, was going to get a PS3 for the Bluray to kill two birds with one stone, but that whole PSN thing changed that.

I'm impressed to see this result, although if it doesn't include Steam sales then I suspect numbers will be different. Both very good games, already have MK and will be picking up Portal 2 once my Uni exams are done.

Really happy for MK. Nice to see that all that effort on such a great game made with such kare and kontent being paid off. Also I think MK makes Marvel vs. Capcom (which was supposedly a big launch too) look like a bloody baby.

Does NPD track steam sales? I thought STEAM didn't release sales data, so it's impossible for this char to be completely true.

What surprised me is that the 360 version of Portal 2 sold 60% more than the PS3 version and also the 360 version Michael Jackson was in the top ten and not the Wii version.

Top does not start with a C so it is not Ktop...

Including Steam numbers would overestimate the sales though, because Steam counts activations via code as sales too. Boxed PC copies and PS3 copies would count twice. "

Someone else probably said this, but, if you included steam sales I have to believe Portal 2 wins.

I'm super impressed by the success of MK9. When I heard they were going to do a series reboot I thought it was going to bomb, like they were going to mess it up in some way, but I suppose there's still a ton of talent ready to work on an old series like that. They've even succeeded in wooing the competitive esports community. I may follow Evo this year just to see what people say about MK9.
