To lose anyone, never mind someone who's had such a profound effect on some of the best games released in the past 10 years, to cancer is truly tragic. My thoughts are with the family and his colleagues. I'm going play through Fallout 3 all over again just to relive your amazing work pal.

Also, it sucks to hear that this guy lost his fight. However, he was able to bring entertainment to many and inspiration to some. That's more than many of us get to achieve in our lives. RIP

Didn't even know this man's name, but while playing Fallout 3 and Skyrim, I have many times marveled at the aesthetics, both on a large scale and a small one. From the carvings in the elven armor and the look of a Super Mutant to the sweeping mountains of Skyrim and the crumbling highways dotting the horizons of the capital wasteland, Bethesda games have looked - literally - awesome.

Man, 42 is way too young. This is tragic. I hope he knew that many people, including me, love what he's done and that he will live on through the many great games he helped make. May he rest in peace.

Todd Howard of Bethsoft mentioned Adam's passing last night during an acceptance speech at the AIAS awards. Out of curiosity I Google searched his name and was stunned by the volume of his artwork. Just about every vivid image that comes to mind when I think about Fallout 3 came from his sketches. I spent over 100 hours in the DC wasteland and 1.5 times that in Skyrim. This man made an impact. It's too bad he's gone.

This guy's work is inspirational to me, mostly for the fact he works in non digital format, which gives me hope for my own illustration career prospects, as I too shied away from the digital format. I have the Fallout 3 artbook and it's only the tip of the iceberg of what he brought to the team.

well, the, uh (see image on right, I'm not very good at this yet) thing (along with a lot of other fallout stuff obviously) was created by Black Isle Studios, specifically mostly by Leonard Boyarsky, who now works for Blizzard.

we are all better for having had him with us for his significantly below average 42 years. because of that, we should all celebrate the beauty he has provided us, and not mourn in darkness. his wonderful work has had an impact on society that few who have lived much longer have had, and will live well past his physical form.

Sad news. At least while he was still on this planet he did something to be remembered by.

This news really touched me. I hope that if he's somewhere out there right now, he can see that I will remember him and keep him in my memory; after all, a man who's provided me one of the finest gaming experiences does deserve such respect. RIP Adam
