Bikes Coming to Burnout September 18

Looks like it's time to re-familiarize myself with Paradise City, as the fine folks over at the official PlayStation Blog have announced that motorcycles will be coming to Burnout Paradise on the PlayStation 3 on September 18. In addition to the bikes and the associated Bike License, this update promises 38 new race events, a 24-hour day/night cycle that will affect traffic density and available events, dynamic weather effects, and 70 new Freeburn challenges. Of course, considering the source of the announcement, this doesn't necessarily mean that Xbox 360 owners should also mark this date on their calendar. Considering the roughly three week gap between the roll out of the Cagney update pack on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it's probably safe to assume the same thing will happen this time around.

Thank god I re-bought this game after I traded in my PS3 for my 360.
Just recently finished up on all of the cars. So bring on the bikes!

More importantly, when is the PC version coming out?

I just really want to play the new Island in the update formerly known as "Eastwood."

Criterion's continued support for this game is fantastic.  I go back to this game more than any other I've bought in the last year.

Isn't the PSN downloadable version of the game supposed to come out this month?  I can't remember.

Burnout is the gift that keeps giving. Wish all games I bought had this much replay value.

I have confirmation from a Criterion team member who I play with on the Xbox 360 (I kid you not, one of them plays on the 360) that the 360 version is indeed coming on the 18th too.

I thought there'd be a bigger gap between announcing the date and the actual update but it's still good to know it's coming so soon. It's gonna be awesome.

Not being a fanboy here, but it's refreshing to see some developers put priority on PS3 versus X360.

Still doesn't take the pain away from the 1 month early Rock Band 2 launch on the 360 though :(

Burnout has been a bit stale the last few iterations, but this new direction paid off for them and it's pretty amazing how they are giving us all this new stuff for free.  Kudos to them...

FYI - The 360 version of Cagney was delayed because a bug was found in it. The PS3 version already passed inspection, so Criterion put it out. It's taken this long to get a date from Criterion, because they've been waiting to hear word from both companies so not to have the fiasco with Cagney. In fact, it's safe to assume both versions will be out next Thursday.
