Borderlands 2 Is Officially a Thing

Borderlands was definitely not a perfect game, but I had a ton of fun with it. Getting together with some friends and playing co op while waves of giant cave spiders (among other things) charge at you and everyone is firing different crazy ass guns is a blast. Hopefully, Borderlands two is even better.

Got the GOTY edition not long ago. Good game. Looking forward to more.

I'm hoping for actual dialog and a good story in BL2. I think they already nailed the gameplay and atmosphere...

NICE! I love me some Borderlands. Own it on both PC and PS3, and have put sooooooo many hours into both. Looking forward to the second one.

Unless Jeff plays it and reports that gameplay involves less running backwards while shooting, I'm going to be over here squinting skeptically.

Really stoked for this. I've been saying to friends for the past 6 months I can't wait for Borderlands 2. It was inevitable it was in the works.

I mean I liked the first Borderlands' gameplay, but the story did not do it for me. The only thing that I thought really separated it from the pack, was the cool visual style. However I think Rage will be a superior game especially after Alex's writeup of his 3 hours with it.  

Fuck yes! Loved Borderlands.

It had issues sure, my main gripe was the balancing; some enemies were nigh impossible to defeat with certain characters at certain levels. But I need my loot itch scratched and there aint no party like a Borderlands party.

Saying that Borderlands' singleplayer experience is boring is like saying football or monopoly isn't any fun on your own. Obvious and redundant.

Hopefully they get voice chat working on the PS3 version this time and the quests won't be as buggy. They were my only complaints of Borderlands.

Eh lets hope its not so mediocre this time. When you make different guns, actually make them different pleaseeeee. "Fire gun that shoots a little bit faster than the other one" isn't that exciting to me ;_;

Cool. While the first had a pretty flimsy story and a letdown of an ending, as a mindless coop shooter it's pretty fun and one of the few games me and my girlfriend get into. There is something strangely addictive to seeing if you can get a better gun. Still, if you can have the ability to upgrade weapons and fast travel in DLC (I HATE having to trek the roads in General Knoxx each time) this could be cool. Oh, and why you can't earn XP in Underdome is beyond me.

Question is to buy it when it comes out, or wait until its 6 DLCs come out.

Duke Nukem better be in it.

Is this going to be set on "300 years later"? Because I noticed a robot on that image, could be AI. Note that there were no mechanized units mentioned in the first game.

I think he's talking about the Rakk hive. Since that thing had a giant vagina for a mouth.

Come to think of it, there's a lot of vaginas in Borderlands.

Borderlands was such a disappointment, so I'm not jizzing over this yet.
 
Also, how the fuck is Gearbox able to ship Borderlands 2, Brothers in Arms, and Aliens Colonel Marines in the same year? Madness.

I don't remember a Bazillion guns in the first one.  
It was more like 10 to 15 with a billion permutations of those. 
I was disappointed with the loot drops being lame the same all the time.  
I hope they fix that more than the story. Having a story is ok but it's not that kind of game. 
Fix the damn weapon loot system please, that all I ask Gearbox. 
Oh yeah, and probably adding more than 10 to 15 guns would be awesome too, if that's possible.

My wife and I had a blast playing through Borderlands, and in fact we still pick it up from time to time. Another full game of the same but tweaked for goodness sounds like a sure fire order for us.
