BOY Meets MULTIPLAYER

Keita Takahashi does his "best" to explain how the multiplayer update for Noby Noby Boy will work.

We've known that there is a multiplayer update in the works for Noby Noby Boy for more than a month now, but so far all we've seen has been one characteristically non-sequitorial trailer. Today Noby Noby Boy creator Keita Takahashi appeared on the official PlayStation blog to provide some strange details about the multiplayer mode. He explains that up to four players will each control their own BOYs, everyone stretching out and gobbling up the world around them, though there can be unusual consequences for your eating habits. The example given was that if one BOY eats the rear of another, they'll essentially merge into a single BOY, with one player controlling the head, and another controlling the rear. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Takahashi goes on to to relate a mind-blowingly mundane anecdote about his trip to GDC 09. There's also this new trailer. It frankly doesn't shed any more light than the first one, but should be watched regardless.
