Capcom And Namco Team Up For Crossover Fighting Games

I think it would be more interesting if they released a new Darkstalkers games instead or  better yet think about a Darkstalkers VS Power Stone. Think about it for a second!

I got Tekken 2 with my Playstation I played that game for like 2 years straight and I got Tekken tag with my PS2, SF4 was the 1st Street Fighter I got into so im really interested with this, not liking the whole SF pause bullshit when you tag through takes away from the action might just wait for the namco version.

Good stuff.  Both games will give the Tekken franchise a big boost in the NA market.  Tekken does gangbusters in Japan and S.Korea but seems to be a red-headed stepchild here in the west.

Alot of fighting game coming out now, there gane over populate the market again!! we need only a few that we can all play together, we dont need a 1000 playing that game and a 1000 this &so on. dam em, this can only go bad! gana end up back like we were a few years ago.

I'm not big on Tekken, but I can never get too much Street Fighter. Never.

I will play the Street Fighter X Tekken version but ONLY if it isn't all the way 2v2. If it has a 1v1 mode then I am all about it. If not, then I will be playing a lot of the new Mortal Kombat next year for my fighting game fix.

Bummer, two fighting franchises I have no interest in =( 
 
As this seems to be Ono's big announcment that means an even longer wait for a new Darkstalkers. Hope fans of these series find some fun in this new crossover though. At least I have MvC3 to look forward to.

 Just thinking about Chun-Li in a Tekken game with a Tekken move set gives me the chills.
After Lili and Asuka (oh god, please let at least one of those make the cut) she'll be the third girl I'll actually (kinda) learn
how to play.
I love the SF universe, but I kinda lost interest in actually playing the games after the third Alpha. I'll still check out Capcom's 
version, though I seriously dislike the art-style of the current SF game(s).

Too sad, I was really looking forward to Namco vs. Capcom...you know, with Darkstalkers and Soul Calibur thrown in, plus a handful of side characters (Klonoa, Eternal Sonata stuff, Tales of Symphonia/Vesperia, Xenosaga, Baten Kaitos, etc. for Namco) from each company.

I think the storyline in Tekken X Street Fighter would be far more apeshit crazy and enjoyable than the Street Fighter X Tekken would be. I'm a bigger fan of playing SF, but Tekken does have a stronger 'WTF' factor that makes the franchise kinda fun.

Lovely trailer, but zero interest. 
SFIV is not to my taste. I'd much rather have an Arc System Works vs Capcom as well, with 2d sprites. I really don't like the chunky look they have in SFIV.

I would think Tekken X SF would be more interesting to see SF characters on a 3D engine.

Bring SF vs MK instead. Would be much more interesting and fun. 
 
At least it's Street Fighter VS Tekken and not Capcom VS Namco, I'll give them that. Although it would have been fun to see Ryu fight Pac Man.

Since I grew up playing Tekken (albeit 4, which is apparently horrible) I'm way excited to see what Namco does.
 
I can probably guess though.

Ganryu + Bob VS. E.Honda + Rufus. this should be pretty awesome

Tekken and Street Fighter? Well, I'll be damned.

Would be interesting to see if Namco's game gives the Street Fighter characters the realistic paced moves of the Tekken games, bring them back to a more real art style and give them real martial arts. 
I just want Tekken 2 Lei and Yoshimitsu.

I wish the announcement was Darkstalkers 3.  That would have been a far more appealing announcement Capcom.

I'm interested but I am likely to only get the Street Fighter X Tekken version. I haven't been real keen on a Tekken game in a long while.

Please bring Namco X Capcom to the US. That game is awesome. Sure it's not a fighting game, but come on.

Finally, it has happened. I'm kind of stoked about the 2vs2 choice, because it would make the game feel kind of like Tekken Tag Tournament (one of the series' best games).

Since it's two fighting game franchises I've not much liked, I'm going to have to pass on this one, but cheers to those who like Tekken and/or Street Fighter.

i'm shocked at how this came about.  

This is all well and good but with the new Marvel vs Capcom game on the way too I get the feeling Capcom is going a little overboard. With the time and money they are putting into these VS spin offs they could at least bring Darkstalkers up to date or some other highly anticipated Capcom series back from the dead.
 
Then again they did try with Bionic Commando and look how well that turned out. I guess this is Capcom's way of playing it safe, so I suppose it's not THAT bad.

Maybe since Tekken is using 3d SF characters, we'll finally see the return of Skullomania.

I am intrigued. Interested in seeing what the main differences will be. However, I am quite more excited about Capcom's version to be honest.

I wonder if the costume DLC from Super and the original get carried over to this.
Also does  this  mean the rumored new DLC characters for Super was just a case of misinterpretation? And that leaked screen shot of the character roster was referring to this game?

We must be playing different games cause outside of Law, King, and the animals, the Tekken guys all just seem like generic characters. "
