Capcom Posts First-Half Release Info

Reiterated release windows for Bionic Commando, Flock, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and more.

This image depicts how I intend to spend most of my February (and my March, now that I think about it).
Some of this information was already available, but there's something to be said about starting off the new year by letting the world know where everything stands. Capcom's gone and done that with a press release devoted to release info and windows for its upcoming games.

Those are the firm dates. The company also has some sketchier windows for some of its other stuff. Flock!, the sheep-herding UFO game will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC in "early 2009." MotoGP on the Wii will hit in the middle of March, and Bionic Commando will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during "the first half of the year."

PC versions of Bionic Commando and Street Fighter IV were also mentioned with non-specific dates. They'll just be coming sometime after their console counterparts.

At one point, Capcom was making a little bit of unofficial noise about Bionic Commando coming in January, but it sounds like that's not happening. Joystiq is reporting that Capcom put out a similar list for the European market that pegs Flock! down to February and Bionic Commando down to March, but my guess is that the wider, less-specific US info supersedes the European news.

Capcom always does have some good stuff going on.

It certainly is an impressive Q1.

As far as I'm concerned it does not get any better when there is SF game in there.

Feb 20th for the PC version of SF4 here in Europe, according to a very reliable source here.

If Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop actually ends up being good...I'll be shocked.

Wow, that is some lineup. All of them I plan on getting, as long as Dead Rising is good.  It looks promising, and the no-brainers on the list (SFIV and RE5), will definitely be great.

I can't wait for Bionic Commando.

RE5 looks impressive. Should sell a lot.

Good lineup of games for the first few months.

Im not really super hyped for any of these, tho most of them have the potential to bowl me over.

Despite its major flaws, e.g. escort quests, Dead Rising was a great game.  I have little confidence in the new, Wii version; I'd like to be surprised though.   I feel a little as though RE5 will not be the major upgrade to the franchise for which I'd hoped (some have referred to it as 4.5), but SF4 is looking to be one of my favorite games of '09.

As far as Bionic Commando goes, well, we'll see.  It looks promising enough.

Bionic Commando PC - yes
Street Fighter 4 - yes
Resident Evil 5 - if it was anything like 4? Hell no!

I cant wait for Street Fighter! Even though I will suck!

Wow I'm kinda surprised they don't have a solid release date yet for Bionic Commando. But as long as that means they're giving the game the polish it deserves, then I don't mind.

And hellz yea, Street Fighter IV!

this quarter looks awesome for capcom
but I still want to see dark void

RE5 is definitely going to be one of the hottest selling titles for the first quarter of the year.

and they say good games never come out in the Spring XD

Hard to believe thats only a Q1 line-up....heh guess Capcom is in for a good fiscal year :)

Man, I believe most of my cash will go to Capcom this year!

These are true Heavy-Weights (Street Fighter IV & Resident Evil 5), CAPCOM will make a freaking fortune of these. Not only games will be sold, but other accessories like Street Fighter IV FightSticks ($79-150) alongside other materials.

Looks like 2009 is already off to a great start

Capcom's becoming a surprisingly important player, not only in the Eastern market but in the Western market as well.
