Capcom's Q1 2009 Getting Stacked

With further confirmation of Street Fighter IV's early '09 release, Capcom appears to be making plans for any and all gift certificates you receive this holiday season.

Hey, how about a Darkstalkers game once SFIV is out of the way? C'mon!
I believe Turkisk Peber translates into English as "Caution Poison."
In an interview with G4's X-Play, Yoshinori Ono, producer of Street Fighter IV, reconfirmed that the game will see release this winter in the US. This fits with the timetable laid out previously and currently reflected at retail, where the game currently has a February 3 release date.

This means that Capcom will have one big release a month during the first quarter of next year, provided that the January 12 release date for Bionic Commando holds. And, of course, you all probably have the March 13 release date for Resident Evil 5 memorized.

Retail sites like GameStop are also listing collector's editions of both Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5. The SFIV set is listing for $80 and the RE5 version is listing for $90. Obviously, this is all retailer stuff, so it's all subject to change.

Hey, where's the Collector's Edition of Bionic Commando? Why not throw in a download code for Rearmed, a small package of Turkisk Peber, and a scratch-n-sniff photo of Ben Judd? In my mind, that photo would smell like mangos when scratched. Dirty mangos.

Cannot wait to take the wrapper off of Street Fighter IV.  By far my most anticipated game at the moment.

Fingers crossed that the online play is decent.

I'm more hyped for this lineup than this fall's crowded season surprisingly. Capcom could of easily released one of these games (Bionic Commando) in the holiday rush, but as expected of them, Q1 is their home turf and has been for a while.

Oh wow didn't realize Capcom has a killer line up like that. I've been excited for all three, feel I haven't given Capcom as much thought in a while as they deserve. Brownie points from me!!

Most anticipated in Street Fighter IV. Capcom has really stepped their game up this generation.

Turksisk Peber is indeed a very... Odd candy. I wouldn't label it as a candy, I mean, it sure is just plain horrible! But yeah, nordic traditions.. :)

I live in Sweden and this was my reaction when I first ate Turkisk Peber: "AAh! Hot! Eww. Oh god! Give me another one."
I like them enough to eat them on occation.. but I could never finish a whole bag (yeah, they come in regular plastic bags too).

I doubt I'll have caught up on the games coming out  now by that time, let alone have the time to play Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5,  and/or Bionic Commando...

Man I would so love a Darkstalkers/ Vampire C game on the current platforms, but when asked Ono said that the morphing required for some characters would be a hard task to achieve. Yeah what ev Ono, you lazy fuck, get workling on that shit, no actually don't, I do not want you ruining the style of that game also.

I want a next gen version badly but I don't want him to have anything to do with it, in fact, I think I would be more happy if it's stayed 2D but with Capcom handrawn sprites of the style seen in KoF12. It would be a huge project, bigger than SF4 I reckon. I would love a Wii game, seeing as though we are not getting SF4 and Tatsunoko by the looks of things.

Capcom's dishing out alot of huge titles lately. I can't wait for SFIV that'll blow the shit out of everyone when that game drops.

I'm actually most excited for Bionic Commando.

BC: Rearmed is so polished and so much fun that I'm pretty confident that this dev team is going to make an awesome 3D version.

Wow, I can't believe Street Fighter IV is going to actually make this year.

I don't usually buy limited editions, but if Capcom throws in something sweet for the RE5 one, I might pick it up.

RE4 available for download on XBLA and PSN?  Anyone?....anyone? I hope I am not alone.

"RE4 available for download on XBLA and PSN?  Anyone?....anyone? I hope I am not alone."

Youre alone if you think that's gonna happen. Or just batshit crazy. There is no way RE4 would ever be available to download on XBLA or PSN it's insane to even think that. It's like 3 gigs, as well as being recent enough that you can still buy it in shops, in several different flavors no less.

Besides, the current trend is Retro games, RE4 is not Retro.

The original Resident Evil on the other hand, hell yes. I always preffered those tank controls to the over the shoulder junk we have now.

Capcom gives their fans what they want. Games. Shit loads of games, year after yeat.

Read the article again--it's not coming out in 2008.
